1. Information We Collect

We collect different kinds of information depending on how you use the service:

• Account information. When you register, we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Technical information. Like most websites, we automatically receive your IP address, device and browser type, and usage data such as the pages you view, the products you search for and the alerts you set.
• User content. If you leave a review, rating or feedback, we store the content you submit along with the account it came from.
• Contact-form submissions. When you message us through the contact form, we keep the name, email and message you provide so we can respond to your enquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to run and improve the service — to show you accurate live prices, build price-history charts, power search and keep the product catalogue current. We use your email address to send the price-alert and price-drop emails you have opted into, and to reply to messages you send us. We also use technical information to keep accounts and the platform secure, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We share information only in the limited circumstances below:

• Service providers. Trusted vendors that host our infrastructure, deliver email and provide security tooling process data on our behalf under contract, and only for the purposes we specify.
• Retailers and affiliate partners. When you click through to a store, your click may be tracked so that we and the retailer can attribute the referral. This never changes the price you pay.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information where we are required to by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority, or to protect our rights and users.

4. Data Storage & Security

We protect your information using industry-standard safeguards. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, and account passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Technical information such as logs is generally retained for around 12 to 24 months before being deleted or anonymised, although we may keep certain records longer where we are legally required to. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data.

5. Your Rights & Choices

You stay in control of your information:

• Access, correct and delete. You can view and update your details, or delete your account entirely, from your account settings.
• Email alerts. You can manage or unsubscribe from price alerts at any time using the link in any alert email or from your account.
• Cookies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as expected if you do.

6. Children's Privacy

Farq is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. International Users

Farq is operated from Pakistan, and your information may be processed and stored in Pakistan and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the service you understand that your data may be transferred to locations with different data-protection laws than your own.

8. Third-Party Websites

Our service links out to retailer and partner websites so you can complete your purchase. Once you leave Farq, those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any site you visit.

9. Analytics & Advertising

We work with analytics and advertising partners to understand how the service is used and to measure and display relevant promotions. These partners may set cookies or similar technologies to collect usage information. You can limit this activity through your browser and device settings, and through the cookie controls described above.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the service or the law. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Farq after an update means you accept the revised policy.
